To the editors of PCworld... Can you get to the bottom of this issue? LG points their fingers at AT&T. AT&T points their fingers @ LG. Do a simple search for LG THRILL UPGRADE or GINGERBREAD and you will see how many customers were duped into buying the Thrill with the verbal promise of Gingerbread last year. The fact is, LG released Gingerbread for the Optimus 3D in Europe last summer (and are promising ICS!). The hardware is the same except for the radio. It is rather obvious that AT&T is the culprit here, but i was wondering if someone at PCworld can get to the AT&T or LG software engineers and find out why it is taking 9+ months to get us updates! These companies put some customer service reps in front of them like deer in headlights. They have no clue what is happening behind the scenes or why someone is sitting on the update.

I would be impressed if you found out what is happening and a real date that a release is due. Companies do not operate this way. They know. They just do not tell the public. The LG forums and AT&T forums are filled with irate customers!
