You'll be able to turn off, or disable metro.

Personally, I find in pane reply easier to manage than new window for replying.

What about animated graphics? Will MS still force us to "View in Browser" to see what's really in the email?

It's been my experience that when I upgrade my office, for example 2003 to 2010, I have to send files such as Word, PP, etc. in the older format because most people do not upgrade as soon as I do. They cannot open the newer Office. Like them, I might wait longer before upgrading.
