Good for HTC. What is extremely ironic however is that the previous Google Flagship phone, the Nexus S is still waiting for of all people Google to push the update. Extremely pitiful.

We are sorry, the download could not be completed because the server is busy. Please retry the download manually once the server becomes available.

Updated with OTA update. Battery life is very bad after the update. It is half of what it was. I could get 12 hours before, now I get only 6 before a charge.

Battery life gets better as you use the device on ICS. you'll get decent battery life again, plus HTC devices have horrible battery life to begin with.

I just now sat down and attempted to get the ICS update on my vivid. Stock software update does not detect any available update. To manually update the phone, go to your phone dialer. Type *#*#682#*#*

Make sure you are on a WiFi due to download size. Let the phone automatically download the update, than install when it completes download. Worked on my Vivid, hopefully it works for you!

What I did was go into settings, apps, all, Google services framework, clear data, force stop, wait a few minutes, check for updates. (to get JB on my Galaxy Nexus)
