Folks,
I am relatively new to this community. Also I am in the process of learning how to use PCs, I phones and I Pads. I have a Windows 7 operating system and I use Norton for my virus protection.
I accidentily used the Google Search Engine to access some websites rather than my Mozilla browser. Have I compromised my data. If so,
what should I do?
Thanks in advance

What do you mean? Did you use Google Chrome instead of Mozilla Firefox? Both are good, legit browsers.

Hi :
Whenever I use the Google Search Engine, it is when I am using
my "Browser", which is Mozilla's Firefox. And to increase
your security when using this "browser", I highly recommend
you "add" its FREE "NoScript" AddOn.

SpiritWind, we don't need to confuse him more. Also, blocking all javascript by default breaks a lot of functions on websites. I definitely wouldn't recommend NoScript to a newbie for that exact reason.
Anyway, I don't quite get what you're saying.
Mozilla Firefox:

Google Chrome:

Google.com (the website):

Do you mean you used the google search box on the firefox homepage (1st image I put here), the search box in the top right of the firefox window (1st image), or the regular website (3rd image).
Anyway, I don't quite get what you're saying.

Folks,
I am sorry for the last post I submitted. I am getting use to using the community software. In regards to LiveBrianD last post, I used the first configuration of Firefox with Google that he depicted in his post when I conducted the searches that I referred to in my first post.
I appreciate your patience with me.

What, the search box on the homepage? It's perfectly fine to use that, that's why they put it there.
