Still clining to the play Flash bit? Even Adobe gave up on that.
Wow, Amazon free daily app. Have you seen the iOS store?
Live wallpapers? Really? This is all you've got?

It's truly sad what PC Magazine has become.
The article merely lists the heat differentials between the latest tablets. Who are you, Mel Gibson? A conspiracy around every corner, right? LOL
He's just another Android kiddie upset that iOS blows Android away.

Er. Not sure you are right here, unless you have some semantical dig at how "resolution independence" is defined ...

The hooks are in the API for providing different bitmaps and certainly vector and font scale to resolution.

And you haven't seen lukewarm temperatures described as "hot" in my post either. I described them as "hotter" than cooler temperatures. A comparative adjective. But fine, substitute in "warmer" if you like.

These results suggest that, most of the time, the new iPad runs noticeably (but not massively) warmer than most of the competition (including its predecessor). No way near enough to make it unusable, but enough that using one will occasionally be a bit more uncomfortable than if you had a different jab-screen on your lap.
As I say, there is a risk of overblowing the issue. The new iPad is a great product. It's just not better in absolutely every detail than absolutely every competitor. It runs a bit warmer than many other tablets (including the iPad 2). It's more expensive than many other tablets. These statements should be pretty uncontroversial to most people, except for readers who experience an emotional reaction whenever they read any slightly negative comment about an iPad at all.

I'm becoming ashamed to be an android owner because of these kind of statements whenever Apple is mentioned. I have an iPad also and a windows device. ALL could play nicely! Why shouldn't people who have purchased and IPad or that might purchase an IPad see this news since the first reports were glorified all over the web, and made owners and buyers nervous or upset. I know I was until I used my IPad and found it does not even get warm, never mind hot. I use it hours at a time. We have android, Apple and Windows devices in our home. No one insults another or makes snarky comments to each other over the device we use or own. Perhaps try playing nice and not being rude, it actually has the reverse effect that you want unless you use android ONLY it seems I am very happy to learn the newest of our devices receives a good report! I am sure you would also if it involved one of your devices, or device...
