This is taking over everything. "Avast is analyzing a suspicious program" - Winword - that I've had on this machine for eight years. And then it closes it down. It says it didn't find anything malicious, but it still shut it down. I can't open it. I'm getting Avast OFF my machine quick, fast, and in a hurry if they're going to go WAY overboard like this!

Hi :

You did NOT give any info about the SPECIFIC "version"
( 5,6, or 7 ) or the "type" ( FREE, Pro, or Internet
Security ), but I suspect it is most likely the latest
version 7 which has many problems reported on the Avast
Support Forums . It may be the Sandbox feature !?
Perhaps you should go back to Version 6, since ver 7
has been out only about a month !?
Or you could ask for help on the Avast Support Forums,
which has many Expert VOLUNTEER Helpers, where members
of the Avast program occasionally help out !?
That would be at http://forum.avast.c...x.php?board=2.0

Hi. I have had pretty much the same issues when installing motherboard drivers. I just got fed up with it and turned off Avast! while I was installing them. Problem solved. I don't know what version I am running, But I supect it is 7 as it was a fresh Install.

Heyy Spiritwind, Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is the Sandbox feature. :P As I said in my previous post, I just shut it down so I could get stuff installed without any interference form Avast!.
