After reading the article of "Turn Your PC Into A Combo TV/DVR" on April 2012 of PC World, I connected my Lenovo All-In-One Desktop with an outdoor antenna and I am able to watch live TV shows on my computer. Now I want to find a way to pre-program (set-up) Windows Media Center so it can record a live tv show while I am out. Does Windows Media Center has this function or does anyone know any apps that can do the job please?

I do it all the time. Just launch WMC, select Guide, scroll to the program you want to record and right-click it, then select Record. You can record one episode or a series. If you need more details this Microsoft link should help:

Unfortunately the last one I bought, an ASUS, is now discontinued (maybe that's why I got it for $10  ). Some of the regular posters really like the Hauppauge brand, and this one looks appealing because it receives analog, digital, and ClearQAM signals and it fits into a PCI-E 1 slot:

...and it's a decent price.
