Just returned my new I-Pad to Apple. Although it had many pluses, the negatives over shadow the good parts. Never knowing if I'm going to open a file, web link, or attachment makes it extra work having a PC or in my case Nook on standby to pick up the slack.

It's an unlikely union, but consider it anyway; Google and Amazon, using both Motorola and Asustek to build co-branded tablets AND e-readers. Motorola for high-end consumer and business tablets, Asustek for e-readers and lower-priced tablet, sold through Amazon and conventional retailers as the Kindles are now. Phase out the Kindle Fire in favor of Amazon/Google tablets that come with Kindle apps pre-installed. It could be a winning combination. Too bad Amazon and Google will (almost certainly) never cooperate.
