Be prepared for a MASSIVE downgrade in functionality, as OSM is vastly inferior to Google Maps.
Not to mention the lack of Streetview data, but also the huge blackspots of no maps or really out of date maps. If I were Google, I would withdraw all their apps from the itunes appstore, and let Apple owners suffer.

I'd be hugely surprised if they switched without addressing that.

I imagine Google and its shareholders are probably glad it's not up to you, then.
If I dispute one single point in a post, that should not be taken as an indication that I agree/disagree with any other point made by that poster or anyone else in the thread. Or anywhere else. Ever.

Hi, I'm the Design Director and a principal at Stamen, and we made the watercolor maps that you're passing off as a "leaked image" from iOS 6. Whoever gave you this image is playing you for a fool. Please either retract it or provide the appropriate attribution (and a link), which you can find here:
