Hello,
I wonder if anyone can give me advise on the following:
I scanned some photos and made the mistake of saving them as a single file. I now want to edit them but now Windows Live Photo Gallery will not allow me.
Any ideas?
Thanks

What kind of file did you save them as?

the program i use when i do that (to save wear and tear on my scanner i scanned in all my old photos 3 at a time)is 'SMILLA ENLARGER' available from the following link:
http://imageenlarger.sourceforge.net/
although the program's primary purpose is to re-size photos to a higher or lower resolution (e.g. a photo from an older cell phone that normally appears postage stamp size on screen can be increased to fill your screen or digital frame <part of this process includes smoothing to prevent pixellation/jaggies>, or you can reduce a normal photo's size por posting to a site that has size restrictions). you can use the program's <cropping> function to separate out multiple images since the result is saved to a new file all you have to do is go back to the original and re-crop the next image.
NOTE: SOURCEFORGE.NET's home page search box does NOT give a link to the program, but a GOOGLE search will give a valid link.
