i bought the first version a few years ago. could never figure out how to play it. eventually concluded it was a waste of my money and uninstalled the program.

you must really be retarded then ...sins is extremely easy to play..in fact its one of the easiest modern rts to play.

Are you serious? I mean, it may not be a walk in the park in many (low) standards, but it is a game worth investing the little time it takes to learn if you're into RTS or Civ type games, or even just into science fiction games in general. Easily one of the most rewarding games I've ever played. The game includes a very good series of tutorial "missions" to introduce people to the game mechanics...
So sad to see the attention span of some people, no offense really. It's just, you're really missing out of this gem.
