The size gave me pause for a minute there. But, I'm anxious to try one out. At 13 inches watch this tablet sell like mad.

"Tablet computers are meant to be held, at least most of the time."

Where in the world is this written? Who has decided that tablets are handheld devices? If I want a small screen, I'll use my smartphone. If I want to actually SEE a video, I'll use the largest display I can get my hands on (pardon the punny use of the cliche)

I've been wanting to use a tablet to VNC to my desktop, but the screens are all too small. This is perfect.

Yes a tablet can be too big and most of them are, including the latest iPads. I find the 7" Blackberry Playbook to be perfect. It's thin, light, and has an incredibly sharp-image screen. It fits in an inside jacket pocket nicely. With the new software and its android compatibility it is a match for any competitor. But there is too much of a patriotic pro-Apple bias, including by PC World.

"When is a Tablet Too Big?" When no one buys or sells them. Otherwise, they are a legitimate option for someone.

It seems to me this would be an ideal tool for people with low vision. Some people cannot read printed books without fancy CCTV magnifying devices. Most tablets are too small to read. As a result they are tied to their desktops. Now, perhaps a portable device they can use for reading!

To ere is human, it takes a computer to realy mess things up.

Is there any news on this? I need a tablet to transport large numbers of A4 sized pdf files and display them without reducing the size. It would need to rest stably on a music stand or piano in portrait mode; if it does, this tablet could be the perfect solution for me. It may be heavy for a tablet, but it's light compared to some music scores.

Hey nbmezzo, I'm in the same boat! I'm looking for a tabet or laptop tablet. So far I think the Lenovo Yoga looks promising as it's both and 13". Music scores are A4 or larger, am I right?

the main thought for me will be the ability to be able to mark the scores with a Stylus, I was looking at the Windows Surface for this reason but if there are apps to mark PDF's for Windows 8 this might solve the issue.

The Surface at 11" is a little small perhaps for score reading. What do you think?
