Does anyone know of any good iPhone/Android apps for free calling/texting? My phone bill has been way too expensive from calling my parents overseas. I've recently downloaded an app called maaii on my iPhone and so far its been really great. Has anyone else heard of it? You can text and call anyone with the same app. You can also purchase minutes for a low price to call any number in the world. Google maaii and check it out if you've never heard of it.

I haven't heard of that one, but I have heard of Textfree (for texting) and apparently that gives you really cheap voice minutes. You can also use skype for that.

I am living in Canada so I use the free app from Dell and Fongo called Dell Voice.I can't text with it though but I have Voicemail a free phone number.I can call anywhere in Canda and I can buy World Credits to call anywhere else

If you have At&t Messages. I have it on my SIII and I downloaded it on my tablet that doesn't have an AT&T data plan. As long as I'm connected to a wireless network i can send a text or even speak and the app will convert it to text and send. It set up the account on my tablet with the cell number and what it does is send to AT&T and At&T send the message to the receiver. If i go into the app on my tablet I see the text messages i sent on my phone its a centralized database. I realize this isn't the same but it's pretty neat and I know lots of people use SKYPE as an internet phone service.

You can use Free Mobile Helper to send free messagers and use skype to free calling.
