I need some help with frequent non-connect problems - 404, 403, 400. I have MS Windows 7. I use yahoo mail and when I go in to ahoo to get mail, and then exit, and then try to get back into yahoo mail, a pop-up frequently comes up says the URL doesn't exist and the problem described is usually 404, 403, or 400. Comcast cable claims it is a Yahoo problem. The non-connect problem also crops up I use my secondary Mozilla Firefox browser. What causes this frustrating problem and how can I fix it?

If you ever suspect that a website is down, or you want to see if it's your fault or the websites... then copy/paste the URL into this website, http://www.downforev...eorjustme.com/# . It will tell you if the site is down. Be aware that Yahoo is having financial problems and may be skimping on server availability, thus causing frequent "not found" errors.

It's happening because either the server you're trying is temporary unavailable or the file you requested is no longer available there. Try after sometime and if its still unavailable then it's definitely the second case.

"Yahoo Web Page Cannot be Found, 404, 403, 400 error”
The problem started to occur about 3 months ago. Before that everything was fine.
Here are the responses I frequently get when I try to connect to Yahoo, via Explorer 7 or Firefox:

“Sorry, the page you requested (http://www.yahoo.com/) was not found. Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Yahoo!, try visiting the Yahoo! home page or look through a list of Yahoo!'s online services. Also, you may find what you're looking for if you try searching below.”

Another message that frequently comes up is:
The webpage cannot be found HTTP 404, 403, or 400
Most likely causes:
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.
What you can try:
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page."

Have you by any chance gotten a new router recently, or changed settings on your router?

I replaced one of my routers several months ago and had intermittent errors contacting some web sites. I changed a setting in my new router and the problem went away. I don't recall what setting it was, but I can look and see if you think your router may be the source.

What about my post did you not understand? I told you how to check, from a 3rd party, if the fault is on your end or Yahoo's end. Did you try that?
