Cloudon Puts Office On Your Ipad For Free--for Now

I've been trying CloudOn on my iPad, which I'm trying to make my mobile 'business machine'. Its certainly a step in the right direction, with a familiar interface and Dropbox connectivity. I'd prefer it if you didn't need to be connected to the web to use it (an onboard app), but I really don't like Pages (or its additional steps to access iCloud docs on a 'real' computer), Docs2Go has limitations and doesn't display docs well, while Microsoft still hasn't offered Word for the iOS.There's lots of simple text WPs out there now, but CloudOn fills the 'fully-featured' void nicely.

Holy shikes!! I can't imagine this being free for very long, or before Microsoft steps in, because while it has some problems, it looks and feels just like Microsoft Word on my iPad. The cloud connection makes it a bit slow, but the connection to DropBox is seamless and works well. I don't know how the displayed document looks on the iPad/iPad 2, but on the new iPad it doesn't look like a high res supporting app. It's good, just not what I've come to expect from the latest apps. Quick Office Pro HD, for example, has a stunning display on the new iPad.
