"Many workers laughed, telling me it's not really that bad," - They are more than likely afraid to say otherwise because they fear they would lose their job if they told the truth.

What utter BS!

Shame on you PC World for thinking so little of your readership. Do you honestly believe that your readers are gullible enough to buy the BS in this article?

Let’s clarify things for PC World since it believes its readers are ignorant serfs who will believe anything no matter how ridiculous it is.

Only a handful of people are going to read this story and believe it. A few more will read it and simply not care. Most however will see it for what it is, a public relation stunt by Apple and FoxCon for damage control due to their dirty laundry being aired recently visa via the real behind the scenes videos showing the abuse of employees at the plant.

No matter how well they spin it the fact is they (Apple & FoxConn) cannot spin away the number of suicides at the factory and I imagine that they will try to spin that and deny that any deaths ever took place.

I can’t help but be angered by PC World for trying to pass off this blaringly obvious scam as legitimate journalism. No one but those who want to believe a lie are going to believe that the so called behind the scenes video featured in this article is legitimate.

It's always Apple, Apple, Apple, but we never hear about HTC, Sony, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, LG, RIM, HP, Nokia, Microsoft, etc., all who ALSO use 'cheap' Chinese labor to make 'affordable' toys for western consumers.

I doubt any of them have factory conditions that are much better in China, if any of them even come close to being 'as good'.
