About ten years ago, when I had a regular desktop PC I managed to find a o0dl system called Telnet and after doing a little research managed to even use the program since it used the old DOS system.

Today I have an G51VS Asus and seem not able to find Telnet or the old Gopher system.

Is Telnet still alive and usable if so how and where? Does one still need to know DOS to gain access?

I understand Gopher has gone into the ways of http so I am not really concerned about the Gopher system unless it still is in some form of usage.

You have to download it separately. I just used it to get into my printer (I'm trying to change the ready message on it for fun).
