From my many previous purchases, the only other computer products I would buy other than Apple are ASUS and Samsung. I'm interested in this tablet, but Apple was the creator of the tablet /smart Phone. And its truly hard to imagine how an experience would be any better. But I'm interested to see how it stacks up (not in specs but in experience, bc specs dont matter as much with Apple, since they write the software to work seamlessly with their hardware).

Just a big correction, apple was not the creator of the smart phone. Thank rim and palm and probably nokia. They'd had internet ready smart phones for years before the iphone came out. Apple was the just first the release its entry into this new world where everything is touch screen, oh wait thats wrong too, there had also been touch screen phones out, think windows phone.

I guess the paradigm we're supposed to accept is "on the go" computing but with little in the way of graphics program processing and storage. The powers that be want us all to be forced to pay more for online storage. Think about it.

He's not kidding. the dock adds an additional 6 hours of batter life as well as a full sized SD card reader and a full sized USB port. You can add a large capacity SD card for a large memory expansion. The prime itself has a Micro SD card reader that can be expanded to 32GB. When combined, it is conceivable that you can end up with similar memory to a moder ultrabook, which is what the Prime on it's keyboard dock competes against.

Apple invented neither the tablet nor the smart phone...not even close. They did "perfect" them to some extent, but other smart phones and tablets predate Apple's products by 5+ years. The USA didn't see many smart phones due to the subsidizing model using in the mobile phone industry but in other countries smart phones that did a huge variety of tasks and had apps were widely available in the very early 2000s. Tablets also existed as well though were hampered by poor OS implementation. Apple fixed that problem but absolutely did not invent these products. In fact, Apple copied numerous ideas and designs from others and then added some of their own to make what they have today.

Don't believe the history that Apple has re-written. The iPhone was released in 2007 and I had my first "smartphone" was years before that with HTC and Microsoft's PocketPC starting back in 2002. Do a search for the HTC Wallaby and Alpine. When the iPhone came out I was still rocking an HTC Alpine with some functionality the iPhone didn't have.

The first smart phone was called a "Communication Device" and had holographic 3D rendering capabilities. There is documented video evidence of C3PO holding the first documented* version and THAT was A LONG, LONG TIME AGO!!!! The creator of that device was named George Lucas, the god of that galaxy far away and it utilized the HOLONET, which has data speeds up to 42 times that of 4G LTE. Oh, and guess which modern company uses very basic LucasTech in their phones... here's a hint, they're called "Droids".
Apple has never invented anything. They didn't invent PC's, MP3 players, tablets, phones or anything else. Ever. Their "innovation" is in mass marketing to casual consumers. They'll never be top'o the line hardware and that's because it's not their market.
*It is alleged that prior to the version seen with C3PO there were other devices, but the only surviving video evidence appears in the prequels, and those are fiction.
