I have been a faithful FF user since 2.0 I stayed with 3.6.2* for ever. Sorry don't remember exact version that is why there is a * at the end.
I continually received messages that my browser was outdated and I should upgrade to the newest version,so finally caved under the pressure and did.
Now I am sad to no relief. My spell check does not work at all. Nothing, zip,nada.It worked PERFECTLY with the 3.6.** versions.Sometimes the squiggly lines shows,other times does not.Either way I get NO spelling solutions on right click, Nothing.
To make matters worse if that is possible in "options" I can not see the check marks for enabling things.
They are white same color as the background. I have to guess and look at the buttons to see if they're "lit" up or not and hope for the best.
I have gone through all the versions and working my way up and down from 4 to the latest and it is still the same with all of them and even now the latest versions of 3.6 I tried.
I am bummed out and feel that I have been deceived by Mozilla.
ANYBODY have answers to this?
Somewhere in about:config maybe?

@Oneolddude
MOZILLA Has A Library With All The Ancient FF Versions, And You Can Install Any Of Them.
I Have Tested All Major Versions Since 4, But They Keep Braking My Favorite Extensions, And I Keep Going Back To 3.6(.28 For Now).

Have you tried to restore your system to an earlier point. That is a good idea and you do not have to uninstall or install a new browser.
