Yep, the clear winner...that you can't find at the $500 price point ANYWHERE due to insufficient supply. Did the author do ANY research at all?

The product just came out.. I'm sure when the author was writing this there was some available. Please stop trolling and take your negative comments elsewhere. I believe the author did do research. Up above there are those things called "graphs" in between those things called "words/sentences", I doubt you have the ability to read words but pictures might be your thing. Also I found 3 websites where I could buy a gtx 680, so I would appreciate if you did your research.

Any idea how effective this card would be processing HD video with Adobe Premiere Pro?

The GeForce cards are designed for gaming. If you're doing professional work, you'll be much better off with an Nvidia Quadro card. This is a new card, so it's not supported by Adobe Premier CS5.5, but it will probably be supported in later versions. If you need a card for premier, an Nvidia Quadro will be much better. A lot of Nvidia 8800 and 9800 series cards can be purchased for less than $100, and can be BIOS-modded into Quadros. This is legal, because there are is no TOS for downloading Quadro BIOS files, and no TOS for modifying the graphics cards. This is also not prohibited in the TOS of the Nvidia BIOS flashing tool. This doesn't bypass any software protection, so it doesn't violate the DMCA either. Used Quadro cards are pretty cheap as well. Check out the "Supported NVIDIA graphics cards for GPU acceleration" section over here:

Yeah Nvidia sent me the spec's on this card a week ago, it has THE Fastest GPU on the Planet, and generally new cards start around $700.00 so this is conservative in price for the newest and hottest card on the market, the only trouble is every site i have been to that's suppose to have it doesn't yet, even the linked sites on the Nvidia site. In 6 months the price will drop also, but the card will be still hard to find to.

I know this doesn't help a lot, but TigerDirect is selling a SYX Intel Extreme DX79TO with Custom Configuration that can contain a single or dual configuration of these cards for an additional $504.99 a piece.
