I expect my next computer to be something almost exactly like this. And considering what you are getting and what it would be capable of (assuming it doesn't have an ARM processor) I don't think the price is too bad. My current laptop was $1300 and, although very nice, I would gladly trade it for one of these. When I read the headline I expected more than $1000, it's essentially an Ultrabook with a touchscreen with a fancy folding mechanism, why wouldn't it be priced right around $1000? I for one am anxiously awaiting a product like this. Eat your heart out iOS running iPad!

I would buy one of these. I have been looking for a Windows tablet recently, the Acer Iconia W500 is about $500 but has poor specs. So the next one up is the Asus EP121 which is quite nice selling for about $1100. Then there is the Samsung slate PC for about $1400. The Cove point looks like it matches the same sort of specs as the Samsung and is cheaper than the Asus. And windows 8 would be perfect for this system. (I assume 4GB of ram)

This looks awesome! I hope my current laptop, a MacBook, holds up long enough so that I don't have to purchase a new one before this 'Cove Point' is released. I'm about ready to throw this MacBook in the lake. I hope I can hold out!

I think for people who need a pure tablet it Intel's answer is the atom based devices. See http://www.wired.com...8-tablet-specs/
