IMHO it is the user's responsibility to control her own public exposure when using technologies like WiFi or radio or the like. If you use a two way radio, you should know that anyone in range with the proper equipment can listen in. If you want privacy, you should invest in equipment that scrambles / unscrambles your communications. The same is true for WiFi. If you want privacy, acquire equipment that allows scrambling (encryption), and use it.

That may be True But Company's Are starting to do things now in the last few years that they shouldn't, all in the name of Advertising and Data bases on people. This is just despicable and in most peoples views not ethical, and just because there's no federal laws some states may or do have some laws now, so it may be illegal in some states to do this. You would have to check in your State or Country to see how you are protected. And just because a Company " can " doesn't make it right.

Now if this Article was to hit say many of the TV networks and Major News Services. You would see a lot more people setting up and taking Notice. And Education on the user part is what is needed and people wanting to Protect Themselves, their Family's and their Privacy. Though you don't know if they have information on you or your family that they should not have anyway and they aren't going to tell you. It is despicable for them to do this anyway, I've already moved away from trying to use anything Google related i can, and i started this sometime ago.
