I have installed Ubuntu alongside with Windows and I don't have any problem with it except one: Every time when I switch on to Ubuntu the screen in this OS is full of small screen distortion (like "ants" in the old TV when the reception is bad)... Can you tell me how to solve this problem???

Sounds like a driver issue. Try using the closed driver for your graphics card and see if that helps out any. Also, probably even before that, try changing up the resolution and see what affect that has. It may be just due to the current configuration.

I've seen this with newer ATI chipsets on laptops mostly. Try disabling desktop effects (compositing) in the system settings. You will lose the spiffy effects, but it should resolve the issue. HTH
