Initialize A Hard Drive Need to initialize a new hard drive on my windows XP

I've done it before, and eventually I'll stumble upon how to do it. It's just one of those things that I forget by the time I fill up the next 1 TB external hard drive which usually takes about a year.

Click start, run, and type devmgmt.msc - you will be prompted to initialize the hard drive, and then you can format it.
