It is so sad to see someone get ridiculously happy, as you - over the oodles of DIFFERENT iterations of M'softs wonky software.

'...the lineup of 'Windoze' 8 versions...'

Huh?

Why on earth does ANYONE need MULTIPLE VERSIONS of an operating system?

How about ONE OS(X), that WORKS, and - here's a radical idea) go out and buy the SPECIFIC SOFTWARE YOU NEED. Not me. Not Anyone else - Just YOU.

My eyes glazed over, reading how you slavishly describe these idiotic 'versions' of some OVER-BUILT, nonsense!

I bet that to you, this is your idea of porn, and that's scary. Very creepy, too.

'Ah, but M'soft's thoughtfully made it so it's all-in-one,' you, Mr. M'soft bobble-head says.

that was NEVER a good idea in the first place, and, as time goes on, it gets even WORSE.

It's nothing but Rube Goldbergian software.

The right version...Windows 7 Enterprise.
Windows 8 = More fluff, Lost productivity as your workers learn a new interface. It's written to take advantage of hardware no business user has. NO REAL REASON TO UPGRADE.

I agree. Businesses Small and Large should have access to Enterprise.
Also Windows pro should be for the other users that do not require those enterprise features.

Of course the tablet will always be in the mix.

I see the new desktop o.s. include tablet apps and workstation apps on one platform.

Dump the windows 8 generic edition. Makes the product line bloated anyway.

I really like hearing about windows to go. I think it will be useful in the future to companies that want to cut cost. But I would still be worried about overall vulnerability presented by employees bringing in their own computers.
