I know of Tunebite, which does the procedure with music without actually removing the DRM. Look it up and find out more info.

Tunebite works quite well. BUT you MUST OWN THE CONTENT that you are removing the DRM from. I use Tunebite so that I can watch my paid for Amazon VOD content on my phone. The license stipulates that I CAN watch it on my phone, even though they refuse to release an Android app to do so. Only Windows Phones get to watch paid for content from Amazon.

Don't worry- I'm not going to do anything illegal. (In fact, I have never illegally downloaded anything for fear that it could affect my ability to someday become president.) Anyway, I tried Tunebite and it worked quite well, but does anyone know of any programs that are free (or at least cheaper)?

Thank you for your time

Some do exist, but none that work as well as Tunebite.

coastie65 has said that we cannot discuss this kind of topic here. Anyhow, I hope you can find your answer as soon as possible if you really want a DRM removal.
