That table looks pretty empty.

Could you maybe have put a link to the page on the FCC web site? Here it is for anyone interested:

Verizon does do notification about voice overages -- sort of. I once got a text from them saying that I was near my family voice plan limit of 700 minutes. However, after I logged into their online service, I saw that I was already over by 140 minutes if I recall correctly.

So while I wasn't able to prevent the overage, I was able to upgrade my plan retroactively to the 1400 minute plan, paying maybe $20 more instead of $60 more.

I am not that concerned that the carries do not have this notification in place. I have Sprint and they have many plans that are unlimited such as on data and text. It is easy enough to know your voice minutes used by just typing in *2 and listening to how many minutes used. I think that is simple enough for a user. We have become so lazy we need a notification. We are the ones that have the phone is it really the carriers responsibility to help us monitor our usage. The use of the cell phone is not a necessity it is a luxury as far as I am concerned.
