I have Windows 7, SP1, 64 bit. I installed this program 3 weeks ago and now I can't get rid of it. There is no uninstall option with it. It will not uninstall under add/remove programs. I can't disable it in task manager. I've tried safe mode with no luck. Can anyone help me get rid of this program. Thanks.

researching this "program" ; I could find no easy way
of getting rid of it . There are counterfeit versions of
this program, so my 1st Question is SPECIFICALLY from
WHERE did you download it !? Assuming you got one of the
legitimate versions from Germany or Miami, Florida, did
you get the FREE, 15-day "Trial" or did you PAY for it ?
My Research indicate there MAY be "Specialized"
"Uninstaller(s)" for this program, but I do not know how
credible they are !? On the Customer Support "section" of
the Florida company, I found a phone number available at
312-962-9996 ( no toll-free number ) and there is a
"Contact Form" available at http://www.tune-up.c...form/technical/
that may provide uninstallation "Instructions" !?

Edit : Sometimes the Option to get rid of a
program is listed in the "All Programs" section of a computer rather than the "Add/
Remove Programs" section; have you looked
there ?

Thanks for your help. I downloaded it from their website and I did pay for it. I have tried contacting their technical support but I don't have much faith in them as then seem totally useless. I too spent several hours on google trying to find a way to get rid of this.

There should be a folder on your PC by the name of "TU2012" or some such. Manually remove it.

Thanks billiebong. Your suggestion is the best. I downloaded the microsoft fixit and it worked. My tuneup utilities 2012 is completely removed. Good riddance.

The problem is 64-bit. TuneUp won't well work on 64-bit, and Win7 in 64-bit doesn't have the same uninstall facility as in 32-bit. I too just uninstalled TuneUp2012 after buying it at their website, then wrote to them and got an answer, but I was using XP Pro 32-bit, on a 64-bit machine. It uninstalled easily, and I filled out a questionnaire on why I uninstalled. The program's 2011 version is good, but you have to wrestle with four programs, Automatic Maintenance, 1-click Maintenance, Program Deactivator, and TurboMode: wrestle, to force them to operate manually. I wrote about that in Amazon, same nickname. The reply I got from them after uninstalling, was a command line method to make the programs manual. So I'll probably reinstall 2012, as its Registry Cleaner is more helpful (not really better than 2011, but better explanations of what the files and keys mean).
