Why so many big threats? Didn't your mom teach you if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all.
I love Microsoft. I love my windows phone, I love windows 7, I love my xBox, I really love Windows 8 on my tablet.
If you don't like or get value from Microsoft solution, use something else. Just stop with the idle threats.

LOL - 72% of all statistics are made up.
I love Windows 8. I loaded it on a tablet the day consumer preview was released. Live tiles are 84% better than icons. Microsoft’s interface gestures are 83% better than an iPad.

You just confirmed what I am trying to say here, Windows 8 is designed for touch users, like you, you are using it on your tablet, you are not using a mouse and keyboard like most users, like me, which has a horrible and irritating experience.
You must be an idiot for not understanding my genuine criticism of Microsoft. I am not threatening, all I am saying that if there are no improvements then I will not buy it. What is wrong with that, we still live in a free country.
Microsoft should have designed 2 completely separate versions of Windows 8, one for users like me and the second for users like you.

That's kind of what Apple did with its Magic Trackpad. I initially thought it was a joke (being as I'm on a Macbook), but saw how valuable it could be in OSX Lion on desktops. A similar product for Windows 8 might help sell it.
Also, all the major OSes seem to be moving towards touch based interfaces: Windows 8 has its tiles, OSX has the iOS-like Launchpad, and Ubuntu has Unity. As much as I hate it too, it looks like touch will become an integral part of the future desktop PC experience.

How do you figure this is a touch screen deal? except for the icons on the start page where would you touch?
You think it would be easier to touch the corner than to simply drag your mouse into the corner and right click or left click for the option your looking for?
I have to say I don't agree with you. And you can if you want install a start button....that Windows Blinds outfit has one you can use for free.
I can get to Computer Management in two easy clicks with moving very little...compared to 3 clicks in 7 with moving the mouse at least twice the distance and realigning, meaning pulling down and over twice. In 8 it's right click in the corner and move straight up. I say that's an improvement. Same for the other tools I like to use in that menu in the corner.
I hope MS doesn't listen and change it too much. I think they are making it easier to use and faster.

Yeah Windows 8 would work great on a tablet! But the sad part of Microsoft's design is that it was designed for touch screens. All they did was add crappy integration for mice. For those whose jobs highly rely on the use of a mouse (web designers), Windows 8 just doesn't fit into our daily work experience.

And even though there will be an ARM based version (WinRT) it won't be sold as stand-alone software, it will only be bundled with a new computer.

Windows 8 is just the operating system. You DO NOT design web sites with the operating system. You still will be able to use Dreamweaver or whatever application you use to develop websites as long as you are using the x86 version of W8. And guess what, that application will still use the same shortcuts and mouse commands that it used in Windows 7. I'm not sure exactly how you came up with the logic that you left here?

These touch pads have existed for years. The majority are wired. Wacom and Logitech are a couple of the manufacturers. Though I'd wait until W8 comes out before buying one. I'd expect to see more flavors and a lot better selection, and hopefully lower prices. Wacom higher end models are pretty sweet, but will set you back an arm and a leg since they are designed for artists. You have to buy a wireless kit for the Wacom to get it to be wireless as well, adding even more to the price.

Dude you are a genius! Microsoft should really do that. They should make an edition specifically for people who want the Start Button. That would be the best move by Microsoft yet! I really hope the people at Microsoft are reading this.
