How does this differ from say, Truecrypt? I haven't tried it yet, but would Truecrypt even work for Google Drive? I've heard it will for DropBox... but there's the obvious limitations of only being able to use it from one place at a time.

I had no end of trouble trying to save TrueCrypt containers in Dropbox - continuous "conflicted copy" duplicates every time the container was changed. Whether this Automator in Google Drive would have the same file conflict problem remains to be seen. Dropbox works great for sync of active, non-confidential files but is neither secure or (because so open to casual user access and errors) is it really backup/file storage. I'd see Google Drive the same way.
