Don't worry, the U.S. Government is staffed by people who only have the best intentions and the highest morals.

Congress = always mis-understand a technical problem and then take the "easy way out" to resolve. In this case, erode citizens privacy for years.

I wish you could be right!

To the contrary we have greedy power-hungry people who do not respect or follow our constitution or our rights, not they work to protect them as they swear under oath. It is sad and destructive for a nation that has been raised in the believes of our grandfathers.
If we had serious and honest people in our government your kid wouldn't be groped at an airport not you will go to prison for defending your son's right to travel without been sexually assaulted. We wouldn't be in the enormous debt we are in a monetary system that was not designed by our constitution. We wouldn't have the IRS scrutinizing American citizens and taking away their honestly earned money and their atrocious assumption that they own the fruits of our labors! We wouldn't have lost so many life of courageous men and women who honor our land willing to defend our nation at any given time. Instead, they are sent overseas to defend others' interests and money, again, without a declaration of war which is a slap in the face to our constitution. We've been in several wars this century but our nation has been only attacked once in 100 years (September 11th)... only people with limited access to information and poor critical thinking will believe that we are vulnerable to be taken over by a few Islamic extremists with box cutters and bring our security defenses to a halt... We Americans are courageous! The passengers in those planes would've killed those four idiots with their luggage! - In the meantime we have accumulated enemies with lethal weapons and greater destructive power but they are cautious not to have to face our military super power ever because we have the means the destroy our own planet as of today!

Wake up! They are gonna come after your stupid iPad and PS3 one day too if you keep on fooling yourself. Take a moment in your life to read our constitution and some history. Our country is been robbed in front of our eyes and people don't seem to care anymore. It is just so darn sad!

Call your reps, that's what they are for, especially in an election year
FYI, they have been doing this anyway, research what happened to the Carnivore program, they have access to any and all US carriers of anything anyway.
But I would rather have them snooping illegally than legally, if that makes any sense

The members of the House who voted for the Bill should be charged with Treason. This bill goes against everything this country stands for.
