I've been removing EXIF data from my digital pictures for years. Not only does it prevent any kind of tracking, it also makes the picture file smaller, taking up less drive space....

Lol... Is this a bad web designer? Any free image optimizer tool out there will remove EFIX data from images in order to make it smaller... I guess he was too busy planning his next hacking and forgot to cover his ass. Don't dare to forget you are a criminal whenever you interact with digital media.

Use any of the format conversion programs to turn it into a BMP. Then convert it back to a JPG if you prefer. To the best of my knowledge, only the JPG format has a definition for EXIF information. Conversion to other formats loses this information since it has nowhere to store it.

EXIF data is one thing, digtal watermarking is another... things like stenography, etc. (it's a rather advanced topic) Don't assume that EXIF data is all that can be used to get information.

This guy's obviously a moron and gives real hackers (those with a truly legitimate love of computers) a bad name.
