Without a doubt, IE has made some major improvements by copying the best features of Firefox and Chrome. I still never use IE (except at work) because Chrome is faster and has some better features. Chrome's tabs have a better look and will re-load at startup. Adblock works great and search strings in the address bar go straight to Google's DB (NOT Bing). IE has made some significant progress, but I can't see ever making it my default.

I've never understood their "beauty of the web" slogan. I think the closest they'll get is to make IE look pretty on the outside...

"If you divide by 0 in Internet Explorer, will it slow the destruction?"

It's been proven that people will stay in abusive relationships simply because they know what to expect. There's better things out there for them, AND for IE users (including Ubuntu/ blackberry/ iphone/ ipad/ etc). I don't care how much M$ portrays IE in TV commercials, its still one of the worse browsers out there.

Oddly the Web looks mostly beautiful through Google Chrome. Which is strange as I never thought that the Web was beautiful to begin with. HTML code is not one of the things that I rank up there as the top ten things that set my heart aflutter.
