The augmenting of reality will take many forms. Reading this articles and many like it are still missing what magician Marco Tempest has demonstrated on TEDTalk. The ability to immerse oneself in real-time in the virtual world that, unlike virtual reality, others seeing are able to witness. This is beyond "avatar" stuff and is close to holographics as seen in Minority Report. This, unlike what is being described here, will lead to rich experiences in media presentations in education (lesson delivery), business presentations (imagine a CEO "covered" in the company's data), and so on and so forth.
