Verizon jumped on the iphone for business purposes. There's money to be made off all the iphone drones. Android is for users that know how to use their phone and like the freedom to do what they please with it. You guys buy iphones to fit in be popular "I have to have an iphone so I can fit in with my friends". Keep your locked down tiny screened phones and do what Apple & Siri tell you to do. I'll enjoy my Samsung with its huge screen and ICS which blows away iOS. Instead of bashing Android search the web for ios vs ICS and you can see for yourself which is the better OS. It really comes down with what you're happy with. If you believe ios is better that's fine just don't try and bash Android with incorrect information.

Don't compare iOS maturity with Android freedom. I have a SGS2 and I did an head-to-head with an iPhone 4s, besides the size(not quality) of the screen and the android homescreen, I prefer the iPhone.

Regarding this event, I just hope that Samsung won't bring us the exact 4.0.3 ICS as they released for SGS2, IT'S RUBBISH!

If it comes with the same TouchWiz, Samsung will loose to competitors. IT'S RUBBISH!

If they bring the same kind of omission regarding the NEW (Customers' WANTED) ICS features it will be...RUBBISH!

Samsung doesn't respect their customers. 4.0.3 it's all buggy and crappy gingerbread lookalike.

They have to step their game up.

i'm not saying the iphone 4 and the 4s weren't the same. the ipad 2 and the ipad 2.5 are the same basically but android comes out with the same product every week and calls it new. there's no upgrades on any of the technology just a new housing.
btw nobody runs 4G. nobody even runs a 1/5 of 4G.

exactly! business purposes. verizon was losing business cuz all they had were stupid androids. people aren't satisfied with a limited UI like android. at&t iphone 4 sales obviously raped verizon's sales. android is boring. tell me something that a rooted android can do that a jailbroken iphone can't do. nothing.
iphone has more capabilities than android. android's has a massive interface lag that the iphone doesn't have. can you hold the recent android phones in your hand and touch every part of the screen with your thumb without repositioning the phone? no, you can't. (unless you have massive hands) the average person doesn't have massive hands. that's why apple kept the 3.5" screen.

a 3.5 screen is the perfect size for the average hand. hold an android with 4+" screen and tell me if you can touch every part of that screen with your thumb without struggling and repositioning the phone.

let me explain. so once upon a time a phone named android rubbish came out. then decided to become rubbish 2.0. then went around and said my name is now samsung galaxy. then had a brother named galaxy s. then came others, nexus, nexus prime, galaxy nexus, barack osama, galaxy s 5 million, prime nexus x y and z. and the list goes on. mind you this is all within a a year.
yes the iphone is still the same. that is because they do not need to waste any special great new device when there is absolutely no other device out there to compete with it. and yes we do have complete control. it is called a jailbreak. it gains root access and therefore you all can suck fat ninibaggens.

Wow...somebody is still living in 2008. Seriously, there hasn't been lag on the Android UI since about 2.1. Also, I have pretty average hands and can very easily reach each corner on a 4.3 inch screen - any bigger than that and yeah, it might take a small adjustment. That's okay though, because there are plenty of great Android phones that can fit easily in a 12 year old girl's hand, too.

Also, how can someone say Android's UI is boring and limited while at the same time praising the iPhone? I'm not an iPhone hater, in fact I've gone through two of them myself, but there are so many more things you can do on Android that it's ridiculous. A good choice of widgets, actual multitasking (which can be taxing on performance, but that's one of the reasons for having dual/quad cores), arranging the home pages to exactly what you want, multiple different launcher choices, live backgrounds, scrollable backgrounds, downloading mp3's and setting them as ringtones/notifications/whatever, voice commands that interact with apps (instead of just system settings), etc. I know you can do some of these when you jailbreak your iPhone, but definitely not all of them.

I hate to assume, but I'm going to assume a couple of things anyway. 1) You're in high school, because you are actually offended that somebody praised something you don't like even though you have no idea what you're talking about. 2) You've never actually owned anything Android or used something with a screen bigger than 3.5 inches, because you apparently believe everything that Apple and their iFans want you to believe even when it's completely ridiculous (the thumb not reaching the corners part, Siri being superior to the options on Android - it's not, I promise, I've used both quite a bit). 3) When the next iPhone comes out with a 4" screen and LTE, you're going to be one of the boys praising it like it's revolutionary and the best thing ever.

My advice to you: chill out. It's okay for someone to like something you don't. Also, instead of hanging on every word that all the Apple execs/fans/bloggers try to feed you, go find out for yourself, so you don't come on here and look as uninformed as you do now. That's what I did. It took me a while to even give Android a try, and while I did love my iPhones, after owning an Android phone I could never go back.
