"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov

I will buy a new computer, But I don't know whether should I get a Mac or usual PC. My last one was a Mac but once I lost all of my important data and didn't get them back. And now, I want some suggestions about my new computer.
I'm not sure of the purpose of a post like this other than to initiate a flame war between PC and Mac users. You've not provided any indication of what your computer needs are. Since you don't employ any sort of backup strategy, one can only assume that your knowledge of computers in general is very minimal. The potential for data loss exists on every platform. Given that the Mac has a built in backup facility (Time Machine) that is extremely simple to use (and you've apparently chosen not to), I fail to see how a user like yourself isn't going to run into problems no matter which platform you choose. Backups on the Mac are as painless as it gets. I don't mean this as an insult. Rather, you have a bigger issue solve here beyond choice of platforms.

I want the usual PC (of course Windows)at home, as long as I've got my iPad and my iPhone when I'm on the go- I'm happy!

If your last computer was a Mac, then I can't see any reason to switch to a PC. The only reason I still use a PC is because I've been using one at work and home for decades, and have invested thousands of dollars in PC hardware and software. Macs are much more reliable than PCs and certainly easier to use, so switching to a PC makes no sense to me. BTW, I recently bought an iPad Mini, and love it to death.
