Oh, I see point the gun at the company and say pay us after we hack you. Or else we will sell or use the information for financial means. I think the move this criminals was sort of foolish. I would have not bothered calling or emailing the company. They may be caught contacting the company. What do you guys think?

I don't think the company should bother paying...there will always be hackers that can do this and more damage and ask for more money...
just notify your clients and they can choose to 1) leave you 2) sue you
