Why would I want this superior phone when I can wait in line and spend a ton of money on an iphone?

Probably because you want higher quality and more apps, greater confidence you will be able to upgrade your OS, fewer chances for virus/trojans, greater vertical integration and greater availability of third party items such as cases.

Or perhaps your needs and preferences are different from others. Why the need to put down iPhone/Pad users? Why is it any skin off your noses? Sounds pretty dam' insecure to me.
