This is comparing to the iphone 4S which came out in 2011 and was really more of a version designed to keep them from falling behind the competition. The real phone to compare against will be the long awaited iphone 5. Whether the iphone 5 will be better or not we don't know at this point in time. Apple hasn't come forth with any information about the upcoming iphone, however rumours say Apple will announce it in June. Let's not compare apples to oranges here. To be fair to apple, wait until after they announce the 5.

True, but the US version on AT&T is a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip.

First, why does anybody need to be fair to Apple (or HTC or Nokia etc)? A new phone comes out practically every month. They can only compare to what exists (or has been formally announced) today. Rest assured that when the next iP is announced they will do another one of these. However, spec wise it is unlikely that the next iP is going to offer anything better that what is on the GIII.

I hate reviews like this that are all spec based. Japan was big on specs when the iPhone first came to Japan, and it didn't do well initially, but after people tried it, people grew to love its functionality, ease of use and how intuitive it is compared to simply looking at specs. Today, the iPhone is the extremely popular, thus putting specs on the sideline.

I've been in technology for 25 years and of all the people that I know that own Android based products, I'm stunned at how few features people use. They simply don't know how to work their phone, don't know how to put music and photos on, how to back it up, contacts and more, not to mention the huge problem what Androids are experiencing with malware and virus'. And what is even more surprising is that no one is buying apps on Android. One of the reasons is that people don't want to give up their credits cards to up to 70 download sites, thinking that they can't be trusted. It's a mess from how I see it. I'll stick to my iPhone 4, and when the 5 comes out, I'll be ready.

The international version of the One X has a quad core processor and 32 gigs of storage, but the US version only has a dual core processor and 16 gigs.

I think you missed the whole point of his post. It doesn't matter what kind of phone you have! The consistent feature of Apple fans is that they don't seem content unless they're trying to convince everyone else that Apple is the best thing out there and we should all just buy iPhones. Yes, there are Android fans that do this too, but I mostly see it with Apple fans.

That's great that you love your phone! Really, that's awesome! I had an iPhone for years and I loved it. I've had a Windows Phone for over a year now and I love it too. I'm getting an Android phone on Friday, and maybe I'll love it, maybe I won't, but I assure you that the deciding factor will having nothing to do with what company made my phone and everything to do with how well it fits MY lifestyle and MY needs. Maybe my next phone will be another iPhone, maybe it'll be another Windows phone, or maybe it'll be some other new OS that comes out. Who knows? Let's just all buy the product that works best for us and stop trying to convince people that because the iPhone is best for YOU then it must certainly be best for everyone.

Mr. Monkey, why such a hater? Apple gone done you wrong? You Mr. Monkey are the one missing the point. If a tool is powerful because it's easy to use, so millions are bought... this does not make you or anyone a sheep. It makes you productive, efficient, happy, regardless of who's brand is on it. iPhones are popular because they work with relative ease, not because they have some social mojo that compels people to buy them by the millions. Ya that 70 credit card site thing is false, you have to go out of your way to get apps from somewhere other than Google. Can't speak to how others do music and video but I can think of 5 different ways to do each and the contacts are all through gmail so there isn't really a issue with backups.

But that's not really his point at all. He says that 3 minutes after posting his "rooted" phone specs like it's a badge of honor. Thus my "Andro-Idiots" jest. Do I think all Android users are "idiots"...absolutely not. But those that wish to degrade someone else based on their choice of phones is certainly an idiot in my book.

I agree with YOU on just about everything you said. Absolutely choose the best phone for your lifestyle...but if I like an iPhone I'm an "iSheep"? Ridiculous, troll, 5 year old, whatever you want to call it, it does nothing to advance the conversation.
