Oracle-google Mulls Verdict Over Android

Very interesting. We may find that if the judge rules for Oracle on the first question that small amounts of copying of GPL v2 code is illegal. There are so many open source projects nowadays, it seems that GPL creator Stallman's premise that people will learn from open source can be rejected as too risky.

I wonder how this will end... I can see manufacturers being driven away from Android regardless of the final conclusions the legal system comes up with... The question is, will Windows 8 for ARM or Blackberry OS 10 take the advantage now that they have a chance? In all honesty RIM needs an opportunity like this more than anyone at the moment.

I can see manufacturers being driven away from Android......Really? If I do leave Android, my next phone will be Iphone. You are out off reality, nobody wants windows or blackberry phone

Here's the lesson from the "jury of their peers" -- Open Source is dead. It's OK if you have a little hobby product, but if you are successful with your open source-related product, somebody with a big checkbook is going to want a piece of your action.
