Excellent article, and spot on. A large percent of users barely can turn on the pc. Yet posting their most uninteresting thoughts and data they can find a way to do that. They wonder why their identities get stolen.

I agree with Kahuna 100%. I have not fallen into the trap of Facebook or Twitter. Security First! Sadly it is getting to the point that you are unable to access some web site information if you don't have an account. Guess I will have to miss out of some info.

Agreed. I see a growing number almost every day of users that post and share privat or what they think its privat on public sharing. I belive that there must be a 1000 to one that actualy read and understand all and every aspect of how Facebook works.

It is unfortunate that to make your point that you choose to belittle others who just might find a benefit in using Facebook. If I were to use your same logic, and assuming from your avatar that you are a mac user, I could call you the same, since I find very little benefit of using a closed system. And that gets us nowhere. I do though, find it interesting that you would call a billion people morons! Could you retry to make your point while not sounding elitist?

Thank you for recommending Priveazy I had no idea Facebook was accessing my contacts in Outlook, nor did I realise those stupid little quizzes on FB were little more than data trackers, I'm going to stop using them and have changed my settings so they can't access my data through my friends.

I totally agree with you...
and to justify your comment...
my friends who are using facebook always ask me Oh! you dont have a facebook account?
sometimes the tone is very similar to expressing, Oh! you dont have a limb?
they are such morons, they might exchange their body parts for a facebook account..
facebook is such a drug..
