My dad and I gave our tivo series 3 dvr to my grandfather yesterday (we weren't using it and we didn't have great OTA reception, so we're using internet video and netflix instead), and upon downloading channel listings, was reminded of how outdated that screen is. It says 'preparing to connect', 'connecting', 'downloading', 'disconnecting', and then 'applying' or something like that - even if you use ethernet... lol :D At his house, we connected it via dialup because the router is on the other side of the house and the tivo doesn't have a wireless adapter. Funny enough, it didn't take any more time over dialup to download info in some cases than it did over DSL. That's just like how my computer's bios says '640KB main memory, 8300000KB extended memory' or something like that.

What outdated screens have you seen in modern products?
