Ian -- great article. You should also look at Primadesk. It is similar to Otixo but does a whole lot more, like fully indexed search (not just the filenames), searching email attachments etc., We also have a very rich mobile apps for iOS and Android.

If you wanna save your music collection and have it in any other format other than mp3, then the only way to go is MediaFire with it's unlimited storage. Only downside is it's 200MB file limit but that is fine if you use it just to store music.

Hands down the answer is Dropbox. They have the most advanced iOS apps out of everyone :)

The best choice of all of them is MS SKydrive bacuse its price. Maybe it would be someday something like mix of Google Drive, Dropbox, MS Skydrive, it would be nice :-)

What's the next after cloud storage? It's Cloud IT service for business.

Cloud storage has quickly become a commodity market. It has little value, after all, it is just about accessing some files in the cloud.

For SMBs, now there is Cloud IT service from www.DriveHQ.com. Instead of just storage in the cloud, now you can have your file server, FTP server, email server, web server, share & collaboration server all in the cloud. You no longer need to worry about your servers, IT systems, data backup and security. That can really save the cost and increase productivity.

All these different cloud servers reminds me of the early days of IM'ing - needing a different program for each different flavor of IM. But I'm more of a "one app to rule them all" kind of gal.

However, I did not find Android apps for Otixo or CloudKafe. Primadesk has one, but reading Primadesk's Android app reviews, it seems PD only allows 5 accounts.

So for now, I'll continue using ES File Explorer File Manager (Multi-cloud+File Manager) on my Android, and hopefully Otixo works nicely on my Win7 laptop. If so, bye bye Joukuu.
