One important aspect of the Ivy Bridge chipsets is missing: they all come with integrated USB 3.0.
Another reason for me to wait until buying a new notebook is that I'm expecting dual HD notebooks: one small SSD for the OSS(es), one big for the data.

Man, I didn't know you could overclock laptops! I only ever have dealt with entry to mid-level units, though.
USB 3.0 is definitely a good option to consider, StephanBroennimann, for working with camcorders etc.

Yes you are right !!! We should all rush out and buy the news products from every category out there(laptops, desktops, TVs, phones, and off course refrigerators)...We must not frighten "the world"... The simple fact that one has a laptop and he is satisfied with it and he doesn't fell the need to rush out and buy another is indeed frightening. What would "the world" come to if one would buy devices according to one's needs?
What if I have a laptop and I am OK with it? It suits my demands from a laptop and I am satisfied with it. Should I fell the compelling need to buy the newest model in order not to frighten "the world"? Well... be very frighten, because I know may people who see a product for what it is and use accordingly and, surprisingly, do not change it for something newer if it still serves it's purpose
