A cheap looking and feeling knockoff version of the iPhone, including a copy of Siri. I expect the patent lawsuits to follow soon.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is far better. The design is new and different, download speeds are exceptional and the user interface is easy to use. It also supports Skype, MS Office and Nokia Drive applications.

This article really didn't hit on the many outstanding features of the GS3. Seems a little odd so much was not coverd.

Smart Stay
The phone tracks your eyes, so as long as you’re looking at it, the display won’t dim or turn off while your using it.

Direct Call
If you’ve got a contact on your screen, there’s no need to hit call: simply hold the device up to your face and the number will be dialled automatically.

Smart Alert
Samsung’s enhanced notifications centre tells you what’s happened since you last looked at your phone in order of importance. It may vibrate after the user picks up the phone to notify him of missed notifications, for example calls or e-mails, after being idle

Burst shot and best photo
The 8MP HD camera has zero sgutter lag now offers a 20-shot burst mode and will choose the best photo for you. Photos now possible at the same time as video filming. The Burst shot feature allows people to instantly capture twenty continuous photos, and the Best Photo feature chooses the best out of the twenty photos.

The 1.9-megapixel camera on the front supports HD video recording at 30 frames per second.

Face Zoom and Slide Show
Double tap a face to zoom in; automatic slide show generation zooms in on faces as individual pictures for pictures with lots of people

Social network and camera integration
Automatic face tagging of pictures, and the option to send images directly to those identified in them, called Buddy Photo Share, or display social media profile information on screen. Group Tag lets you tag multiple people in one go, if you set up a group first. The camera also supports face tagging in photos. The S3 can recognize faces tagged, and collect social network information on that person. It can also sort photos into groups depending on the tags.

Dropbox storage
50GB of free Dropbox storage for two years.

S-Voice
That’s S for Samsung. This feature allows you to control your phone through voice, eg to turn up the volume, and to ask it questions in five diffrent languages.

S-Beam
High speed file transfer via NFC and WiFi Direct, between two phones touched together, operating at up to 300Mbps.

Pop Up Play
Play video in amy window while you text, surf the web, answer emails on any of its 7 screenshomescreen simultaneously.

All Share Play and Cast
Share your S3’s screen to a TV wirelessly, or use the screen as a remote control. It also sports wirless charging!

Should I go on?

So it's a knockoff of the iPhone because the iPhone was the first smartphone ever, right? Never mind that there were plenty of voice command options available well before Siri.

Nice.. but I think I'll keep my SII for now. Maybe I'll upgrade to the SIV or the SV.

Why would I buy this thing that does more, costs less on Amazon (when it comes out) and Apple is suing because they feel threatened? I can wait for the iphone 4ST or 5 and then wait in line, pay more and finally do less and look like everybody else.

I am wondering why noone has commented that Siri wasn't the first and SII had this feature before both the SIII and IPhone. As for the Lumin 900 Nokia killed themselved the the Microsoft deal. Noone wants windows crap on their phone.
Why has Samsung not pointed out their voice app on the SII when siri came out.

The author made a comment about the "virtual keyboard." I dislike them for many reasons - primarily because it is far too easy to "press" the wrong one. This is why I bought a Samsung with slide out keyboard. The tactile feedback during key selection makes this kind of mistake less likely.

With Swype, the closeness of the soft keyboard helps with writing a speedy message.

If Apple can sue Samsung for having a voice driven application (even though this technology has been available for years, they will just make more of a fool of themselves like they have with many of the recent losses they have had in their current lawsuits.

please what are you on about, i waited months for the Sea (Nokia Lumia) ray to come out and it was the bigest let down i have ever had, i really wanted it to be a replacement for my iphone but its poor, has no expansion port and is just not what all the hype said it was going to be, as for the Galaxy S3, im just about to get one, im boared with iphone and want something better, they just did what apple do and tweaked the 4 to bring us the 4s, and theres a lot of hype around the 5 but this is going to be a tough phone to beat!

Why do we need a new phone? Most of us already possess advanced cells phones that was almost inconceivable 20 years ago. The answer is we are entrapped by the gadget companies into thinking we are missing something important. The more gadgets we buy the more we feel we are lacking. Unfortunate

Why do we need another new phone? Most of us already possess advanced gadgets that were inconceivable 20 years ago. Gps, video,im, name it. The answer is we have been entrapped by the phone makers into thinking we are always lacking. So the more devices we buy the less satisfied we are. Have you ever wondered after you bought a new device why you bought it in the first place? Cell phone companies monitor our habits, locations from our devices we paid for and sell it to advertisers.
At some point this pace of technological advancements will need to slow down else there will be some unexpected consequences down the road.
