I am happy with my ultra cheap 42" LCD (3D). LCD is really nice on picture quality as well as on pocket in these hard times.
I would buy a new TV only if it has:
1. Gaming console built in similar to Xbox 360
2. Kinect like tech. built in.
3. Fully func. Computer with HDD or SSD
4. WiFi including wifi router with media streaming
5. Ability to connect with wireless keyboard , mouse & Xbox controller
6. 3d of course, with un-powered glasses or with glassless 3d
7. Immersive Streaming of games to many players wearing Head Mounted Display in 3D HD with head tracking similar to Vuzix or Sony. This for fully immersive gaming experience 360 degrees and in high definition. Imagine playing Elder Scrolls Skyrim in fully immersive HD 3D.
8. Multiuser support so that several ppl in the family can watch TV or work on the computer or play games simultaneously. While one person uses TV's display , others can use HMD devices (wirelessly).
In other words I need not glue my laptop to the back of my TV with HDMI. ( Ha ha, I have not done it yet, just thinkin.)

It seems like the competition between Samsung and LG is getting more and more fierce over the first 55" OLED TV. When Tim covered LG's OLED TV at 2012 CES, its stunning picture blew me away too. It looks better than Samsung's. Maybe it is because of their WOLED tech. My vote goes to LG. What you guys think?

I hope the release of this OLED tvs would make the other tvs cheaper. What I want is simple. I just like to have the lg lm9600 and that's it. I saw it in an expo and dual core really makes a huge difference.
