Of course they will drop in prices. People invested so much money on LCD/LED T.V. already and can't afford to just plot down a few grand. Plus, like any new electronic, (with the exception of Apple) they always drop down to more reasonable and realistic for the down to hard working people.

I remember that the first Pioneer plasma 42" set cost $20,000 when it first came out, and that their 50" less than a year later was $25,000.

It dropped pretty quickly after several manufacturers began competing with them.
