Nice! What are those ports on the front for now? Also, what were the specs?

How are the temperatures inside that? (Use something like hwmonitor) Also, how did you mount components (particularly the motherboard) in it?

That looks like a fun little project. I started to work something into an Xbox once, but never had time to finish... Now I don't even know where the stinking box got off too.

Very nice fit in there though!

Interesting and good job. Little safer than an aquarium with 10 gals of mineral oil ( hey wj, you didn't think I would let that pass did you? ). Would be interesting to see how the temps are in that thing.

Not bad temps and well within the safe range. Not bad.

Just wait, it will get done "properly" some day, and this will be forgotten as nothing more than another "learning experience" working towards perfection! :P

It sounded good in my head anyhow...

To be honest, that is doing far better than I expected. I was expecting the CPU to end up throttling - having such a restricted airflow and all.

Very impressive.

That's what I was thinking. Come to think of it, I wonder how a machine like that would do in a lego case. :D

actually the xbox case its self has a tone of holes in it for venting so a fan or 2 placed right will keep it cool also after i did that prime test this morning i pulled a few fans i had laying around and put a 2nd fan in and reran a 45 min prime test and hit max temps of only 62c 143f ambient 42c 107f i plan 2 make a 2nd one of these only i plan 2 use a mini itx mobo if newegg stops deactivating all the amd itx mobo lol

Real nice.

I've tinkered with the thought of building a pc out of the norm but haven't thought about it seriously enough to move on it.

Nice conversation piece when your friends come over.
Thanks for posting it, great job!!

Once you are done building your new machine, you should have plenty of older parts to work from! :D

True.

There are a couple options I've been contemplating but that wasn't one of them, well, until now. :D
