There aren't many disadvantages that I'm aware of. Disk management has just about all the tools you need to create, resize, or initialize partitions. Just about the only thing it won't do it create large FAT32 partitions, but most folks don't care about that these days. Oh, and EASEUS Partition Manager (http://www.partition-tool.com/) works better for merging partitions (for me, anyway).

I googled partition manager and find this. http://www.techsuppo...on-manager.htm. How about Minitool partition wizard? it seems to rank higher than the one you mentioned.

I should mention that I've also used easeus partition master and found it works well. I haven't tried the one you mentioned though.

I haven't heard of Minitool either, but between the EASEUS and Windows built-in app I haven't felt the need to look at any others, they're that good.

I have used minitool partition wizard home edition with very good results, it CAN be used from inside windows but works best from the offline disk that you can cut after installing the program. the earlier versions were stand-alone 'portable' programs but the newest version is not.
