Why not make a TWO piece phone that gives the users the option of having a slightly thicker phone when attached--like recent tablets like the Acer and Asus transformer. Then people can use the same phone but those who want the physical keyboard can attach them and those that don't don't? Why is this so hard?

Samsung and other phone companies are really missing the beat when they decide NOT to make a physical snap on keyboard that user can attach and fold up for those that want one. And just simple 'tablet' form for those that don't want one?

All efforts on Samsung's part or any other manufacturers will result in total disappointment and utter failure with WP7/7.x/8

Yes, that must explain why AT&T can't keep WP7 phones in stock. Thanks for the insight.

I'm afraid your sarcasm will be lost on our fanboi friend!
Still, maybe he'll grow up and learn to justify his gibberish.
To disagree without being disagreeable is the art of debate. Simply because one has a strong opinion, it does not necessarily make an alternative opinion less valid.
